The original house was built in the 19th century as a private residence. Now tastefully modernised to create a stylish & comfortable owner managed hotel. There are wonderful views over the Solway Estuary to the Cumbrian Fells. Most of the 15 ensuite bedrooms overlook the links of the championship Powfoot Golf Course and the estuary.

Food is an ever changing mix of traditional and modern using the best local suppliers for beef, lamb, game, fish and shellfish. You can eat in the bunker bar, lounge/conservatory and Skidaw Room and enjoy a smoke-free environment. Powfoot Golf Hotel is a No Smoking Hotel.

The interesting and very well priced wine list features a regularly changing choice from Europe and the New World. You will find the bar well stocked with malt whiskies, Belhaven Ales and lagers. During the summer months a different cask conditioned ale is featured every week.
